Loot LA
Banners (for Adventurers) Re-launch
A message from the Banners team:
A few weeks ago, we decided to relaunch Banners. When we launched on Polygon in December (the first Loot project launched on an L2), we ran into some technical challenges that we didn’t expect. The result was a user experience that was more challenging than it should have been. We’ve identified the issues, and to correct them requires a reboot. With only about 320 Banners minted to date (of 25k), relaunching is not only possible, it’s the best path forward for the project, the community and the Lootverse at large.
The design and spirit of our project will remain constant; Banners is the society layer for Loot and a platform for art and artists.
On the technical/logistics end of things, here is what will be incorporated in the new contract:
For the loyal group that supported us and minted early you will be airdropped 3x as many Banners as you have now.
Wallets that hold Loot or Realms will be airdropped a Banner at launch. (no more Mint Passes)
For everyone else, we’ve simplified our pricing and made it the same as the Loot Presale Pricing. Each Banner will be 0.015 ETH and wallets can mint up to 20 Banners. Functionally, we will decouple the old contract from our site and burn all of the previous Banners.
The new collection will still be known as Banners (for Adventurers) and will feature a new colour scheme for easy differentiation.
If you had a Banner, Loot or Realms you will have already received your new Banner at the time you are reading this. Airdrops on Polygon are first hidden in your OpenSea account until manually un-hidden. If you haven’t used Polygon before…it’s pretty awesome. Once you bridge some ETH over, it operates the same way as the Ethereum network you’re familiar with, but costs about $0.02USD to transfer or mint an NFT. Your address is the same and it’s fully operational with OpenSea. Your Banners and other Polygon based NFTs show up right alongside all of your other NFTs.
For Loot, we are the vanguard into Polygon for art-based NFT projects. We know we’re doing the heavy lifting for the projects that will come after us, and think it’s important that we blaze a trail for low cost networks. Realms is doing the same heavy lifting with StarkNet and it’s benefit for on-chain gaming. We take pride in following them.
Realms Voxel Maps + Token Art
For the last month or so, the Realms community has been designing $LORDS token icons. On January 9th, the Core & Community Lords chose 13 designs to be voted on. The winning design, which you can see in the tweet below, earned 47 votes! The winner won a Realm.
Amulet of the Orders
What are the origin stories of these 16 orders?
DivineDAO, in coordination with The Genesis Project and the broader Lootverse will start to discover these stories in the coming weeks. These key pieces of the Loot story will be called The Genesis Scrolls. These won’t be your average bullet point, one paragraph wiki-style entries. But incredible stories with compelling characters full of hope and dreams, characters going on journeys of self-discovery, facing demons and dragons, and ultimately establishing the 16 orders of the Lootverse.

Keep dreaming.
Keep building.
